Been off and on raining since about 1pm in Eagle County. Evac orders around the Sylvan fire have been changed to pre-evac for some areas like Fulford and lifted totally for areas like Frost Creek. Best two days of rain in a long long time!

I'm not in town, but the rain should make for very, very good dirt. It's going to be nice and cool too.

Ride the foothills trails (Evergreen, Floyd Hill, Black Hawk, Golden Gate, etc) rather than the plains trails (Dakota, North Table, Green Mtn, etc.) and they will be great. Foothills dirt absorbs water and drains, plains dirt (clay) gets muddy. Plus they're better riding anyway. The tweener trails on the front line like Apex, White Ranch, etc. could be a bit muddy down low.

West Mag is always good in the rain too. If you're near Boulder and looking to do something short, Betasso handles rain really well.

don't know what I was looking for a couple weeks ago when I found this article
pretty much came to the conclusion that summit county being an awesome place peaked in the early to mid 90's

now we are disney town to help tourists escape the day to day drudgery we call life

I think it peaked earlier than that:
“ turn-of-the-century miners in Breckenridge paid 25 cents for a bath in a Main Street boarding house, compared to five cents for a rendezvous with one of the prostitutes who lived on “Nickle Hill.”
