typical SW flow for Eagle County today....just VERY light snow for the most part....an inch at the most on the valley floor and quite warm. Looks like the Elks have been getiing it good for quite awhile.

Not like a SW does great for our mountains either. The steady light accumulations should actually help not overload our snowpack. Things look interesting for the more northern mountains Christmas into Friday...

I actually think it came in a bit more west as evidenced with the 10 new at Berthoud this morning.

I don't think I'll be coming into the office tomorrow.

I think it should as the main L and cold core have yet to move over the State. I'd expect another 4-8 throughout the day with the snow tappering off tonight with 1-3 addtl.

The Christmas storm is really starting to take shape. Friday has the potential of being a kind of day.

Yeah, they must be aware because they've changed it from a 3 day old observation to a NULL.

Flail did not suck this morning, I'm sure somebody will post pics. Gotta get out of the office in a bit to catch the last lift so I can get home, which will not suck either.

Breck was really good this morning. Best day of the season so far. Definitely 16" or so new up top and the visibility was great with partly sunny skies most of the morning. Looks like the snow is rolling back in again.

after what could be another substantial dumping on Christmas and Friday, the pattern looks to chill for a few days. Looks like sunny skies and high pressure til New Years where it might begin to shift back to stormy!

Vail was insane today...best day of the year for me by far. The trees out the Earl's bowl gate were so money, pillows galore.
