that being said, devils playground's woods seem to be as good as it gets there.

Last time i went in their "out of bounds" trail on the far skiers left side of the mountain I was miserable, its just a stream bed filled with ice and super low angle trees.
    enjoy
dick. i haven't been there since freshmen year.

i did find this gem though:

looks like one decent cliff with a steep runout... and thats the whole course? i assume the bottom gets all bumped up and makes the run-out exciting right?

I don't know if this is part of the course or not, but if you go lookers left of that picture there is a large ridge that can be skied/aired? I hadn't been up there until Saturday and it looked big, steep and rocky. That could be interesting though.

Yeah obviously I'm bummed about going to Bolton but I don't really have a choice. I'm only gonna be there for a few hours so as long as I get to make a few laps on some good snow, I'll be happy. Even Bolton beats school

frontmatter: i don't think this is breaking any unwritten rules, as anyone who doesn't already know about it wouldn't find it with this info.

FYI: For those who might venture into the hellbrook tomorrow at Stowe, please be careful. I did a recon run today to see what we'd be dealing with, and if/where the brook had broken through since the last rain event. the top section is OK, but once you get down to the choke and the main river bed skiing, it gets pretty scary in there. alot of creaking and cracking ice, and just flat out holes down to rock and running water on the backside of some of the terrain in there. i imagine whatever snow falls tonight will just make some of these holes even more dangerous as it will hide them, but not keep you from falling in. good luck harvesting the fresh though boys and girls!

It's still snowing here but it's changed to a heavy, wet snow. Almost feels like it's on the verge of changing to rain. I'm 45 minutes south of mt snow. I'll be at MRG wed/thurs.

In line at Magic 1st chair with Thin Cover and Tree Well Dweller. I'll be on Bro's with purple pants. They'll be rocking Pow Pluses and Legend 8000's.

cough cough, I think I feel a personal day coming on.

Just got off the phone with our firewood guy in the MWV - he's claiming TWO FEET and still coming down.. Could be exaggerated a bit, but sounds like a healthy dump regardless, more coming later with the cold front rolling in, then a 'clipper Friday night

It looks like the southern VT mountains got more than the north

Weather.com is reporting that Okemo got a foot, while Stowe got 8-10

    stowe today = good
riding on a strained achilles tendon = not so good

probably not going to get back out there for a while. but then again, there doesn't seem like there will be many more powder days this season anyways.
