that storm was pretty weak sauce, but it's still probably dumping at stowe (sleet/snow mix). not deep, but really really smooth today. fun skiing to be had everywhere.

And my new Districts are kick ass.

despite the NCP Magic was good, and it was enjoyable skiing with all of 7 people on the mountain. This was the lineup at 9am

Up top it was raining and there was an ice crust on top of 4-5" which made skiing interesting. However once you dropped 100 or so feet down the trail it softened up considerably. It was still pretty heavy but definitely was skiable so long as you had the right tools. The top of black line was the run of the day, really soft, smooth snow and bonus was you got to check your tracks out on the way back up

mucho props to Bluebird for getting the report up at 5am and being honest about the conditions.
For sure, you have to be lost to find a place that can't be found, elseways everyone would know where it was

K-ton, 4'' max, wet , crusty, fast... enough crust on the untouched in woods to be dangerous ... a day without grace.

I was there with a group of 7, so there were at least 9 on the hill. Although 3 of them didn't last too long Challenging, but fun. Very cool when patrol let us explore the west side. Hans wasn't too bad. We pretty much closed the place at about 2:30.

Had a BLAST at Bear Peak. Easily 8-10+" everywhere. Hit thigh-deep on most runs & the trees were even deeper. By FAR the best pow day I've had up here. Lapped it 6-7 times & was done. Started raining about 3pm & right now it's POURING out.

GREAT day if you caught it early!

Even though I cursed you while I had to work, thanks for stopping by to clean off my car. It ALMOST made up for it.

Jay was $$$$$$$ today. I was planning on MRG but I called an audible this morning when I saw the weather. Turned out to be a great choice as it only changed to sleet for a few minutes.

The snow was not powdery, it was more like 6+ inches (a lot more in some places and it snowed all day) of cream cheese but it skied really nicely. Smooth, buttery turns MMMM. Never ended up making it back for my 3:30 class as i skied straight from 9:30-3:45. The woods are covered very nicely (didn't hit the ice layer underneath nearly as often as I did last weekend).
