Well, to be more specific, I work in Williston, it's snowing out here (not accumulating yet), and it's snowing harder up in the NEK (my roommate works up there).

    So no. Not lies.

    hey bumpskier/bluebird

whats the approximate travel time and best route from Manchester, VT to Jay?

I'm staying there tonight, have to be back in Troy tomorrow at 3 pm so I'm debating whether a Jay run makes sense vs heading up to the mighty K to sample their fine new "quality product"
For sure, you have to be lost to find a place that can't be found, elseways everyone would know where it was

I won't be at the show until Friday evening and then Saturday morning, but to answer your question, I sport a goat to go with my wildman hair. There may be a picture of me on the internet somewhere...

    PM sent.

My dog and I will be sleeping in my car in the parking lot Friday night at Jay so I will be ready to go bright and early.

Not sure what clothes/skis I will be in/on yet.

Hiking up Little Whiteface Sunday (have to work saturday). Opening day next Friday! Snow is stopping. Awesome to have the nice heavy wet snow to pack everything down. Wasnt supposed to start snowing in ADKS until this evening, but it started early this morning and made for messy commute.

THE WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

HEAVY WET SNOW WILL CONTINUE HEAVY AT TIMES THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON. TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS WILL RANGE FROM 4 TO 9 INCHES BY EARLY THIS EVENING... WITH THE HIGHEST AMOUNTS ABOVE 1500 FEET. THE HEAVY WET NATURE OF THE SNOW MAY RESULT IN DOWNED BRANCHES AND POWER LINES DURING THIS AFTERNOON ACROSS THE NORTHERN ADIRONDACKS. ROAD CONDITIONS WILL BE VERY HAZARDOUS AND SLICK...ESPECIALLY AS WATER FROM EARLIER RAINFALL FREEZES BENEATH THE ACCUMULATING SNOW.

Nice! I'm considering the same thing. Actually a bit of skinning on Friday might be pretty sweet. Hmmmm.

Just put my class schedule together this mornign and it is so fucking on for this year. Loaded up with 4 Tues-Thurs classes. I have no class until 3:30 on Mon-Wed-Fri.

Still not sure about this weekend, I was just too stoked not to share.

I was up visiting my folks in Montgomery Ctr(raining there) today and took a drive up to Jay. It was dumping 3-4" at the top of 242 and the base of the triple. Saw a dude walking with his board and stopped to chat, he said at least 6" of new up top and still nuking. Haynes was money he said. Forecast is calling for the bulk of the precip to be tonight so it could really pile up. Should be a good opening weekend.

It's definitely pissing rain in the part of Burlington that I'm in. However, according to Jay's website, the situation is much different up there. It's looking to be on for Saturday morning.

Good precipitation line in Southern VT is currently ~1,900 feet. I was just at the base of Bromley and it is a very pretty color there right now.

    that is all
