FYI, Rose is doing a free guest ticket any day for all pass holders. I think it's unlimited uses, but one per pass holder per day.

Yeah, I'm just going to Rose this morning. Have two tickets still for Squaw from Mountain Collective, but may end up not using them. Keep trying, but.... Maybe July 4th.

Is it gonna be worth the time and effort to go to Squaw this weekend? Or will the summer temps cook it to sticky glop by 9:30 AM?

I did one run at Mt. Rose this morning, with the same hope and the same outcome. Rose was a mix of breakable crust, ice chunks, icy groomed, and flat light. Left with all ligaments and bones intact.

Enjoy the snow. You all could have made the great timing decision to go to Whistler with me and Mrs C, where conditions are top to bottom ice.

At least it's pretty scenery here...

RGJ just reported that Mt Rose highway is closed due to a mudslide. Can't find any details yet.

Rose was fun. Didn't ski like 3-4' of fresh -- heavy snow, but mostly not wind-affected, except for some windlips & drifts on the main side.

Not much fell overnight here on the Reno side of Mt Rose at 5800'. Went to bed with about 2" on the deck railing, woke up with about 3" outside.
