Digital Advertising Manager - NEW POSITION

Reports to: Director of New Media

DESCRIPTION

The Digital Advertising Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and managing online and mobile advertising campaigns, policies, and programs on TetonGravity.com alongside maintaining advertising client relationships. This position plays a key role in advancing TGR as its own best sponsor. Promotion of the TGR brand, all productions, and merchandising initiatives takes precedence over everything else. Providing superior customer service and client communications is key throughout the development and optimization of ad campaigns. Understanding client expectations and providing timely and comprehensive reporting is a key responsibility.

A primary focus of the position is to develop industry leading strategies to maximize advertising revenue for TetonGravity.com. The advertising manager will implement a combination of traditional banners, high user engagement opportunities, select advertorial programs, and site sectional sponsorships that deliver value to our clients while growing the bottom line.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ad Operations
    • Develop inventory tracking documents to maximize placements.
    • Continually monitor competitor sites and evaluate potential new ad units.
    • Manage existing internal clients and respond to outside inquiries from potential advertisers.
    • Create or oversee the creation of proposal, contract, media kits, and pitch decks templates.
    • Develop target rates for all advertising areas of the site.
    • Develop off-season advertising opportunities.
    • Manage the current sales pipeline and balance pitched vs. contracted revenue.
    • Build strategies to retain existing clients to grow both endemic and non- endemic advertisers.
  • Trafficking/Onboarding/Optimizing
    • Understand client needs and develop proposals to reach their objectives.
    • Receive creative from client and schedule through ad management system.
    • Create onboarding reporting for campaign launches.
    • Systematically optimize client campaigns to deliver target performance.
    • Create impactful post-campaign reports that illustrate client performance on contracted elements, as well as user engagement on our site and externally.

DEPARTMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Each project and essential responsibilities requires extensive reporting and analysis of the marketing benefit to Teton Gravity Research.
  • As a liaison of the Teton Gravity brand, professionalism and exceptional customer service are paramount.
  • Provide project planning documents including goals and objectives, timeline, cost, and benefit to TGR for each project that fall within your area.
  • Support and help coordinate film sponsor advertising initiatives.
  • Willingness to occasionally work on holidays and vacations to accommodate unpredictable client needs and campaign adjustments.
  • Must provide quick turnaround on projects and adhere to a strict calendar of ad placements where mistakes can severely impact department revenue.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree.
  • Must be EXTREMELY detail-oriented, able to multitask and prioritize.
  • Demonstrable client management/interaction skills.
  • A clear understanding of client ad campaign optimization.
  • Mastery of web traffic analysis tools.
  • Experience using DoubleClick for Publishers.
  • Working knowledge of the Adobe Suite of products.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Willingness to work long hours and master a job with a steep learning curve.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office and Google Docs expertise, particularly spreadsheets.
  • Passion for the outdoors and action sports.

Location: Position will be based in Jackson, Wyoming.

Tour Sales Representative - NEW POSITION

Reports to: Tour Director

SUMMARY

This is a part time, commission-only position, with an established sales pipeline and unlimited opportunity for the right individual. It can be managed remotely. There are opportunities for the right individual to become more involved in the tour operations in the future.

DESCRIPTION

The Tour Sales Representative is responsible for managing TGR’s Independent Promoter Licensing program and seeking out new opportunities for tour growth worldwide. The representative will manage in-bound and out-bound campaigns to find individuals, ski clubs, shops and other groups that want to license tour stops for TGR’s new ski film, Way of Life, and work with them through the process, from contracting to helping them make their shows a success. Maintaining TGR’s brand identity and ensuring a consistent live experience is essential.

The position can be broken into two main responsibilities: Outside Sales and IP Customer Service. The Tour Sales Rep will be the main point of contact for our promoters.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Outside Sales
    • Respond to in-bound licensing requests and manage the contracting process.
    • Develop new prospective client list.
    • Maintain client database and Independent Promotor Pipeline.
    • Create emails, brochures, adn other sales materials.
    • Coordinate with the tour team on new ideas and sales initiatives.
  • Customer Service
    • Respond to promoter needs in a timely manner.
    • Provide clear support prior to customer events to help promoters grow their tour stops.
    • Ensure that licensed shows are consistent with TGR’s brand identity.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Extremely organized, detail-oriented, and able to wear many hats.
  • Bachelors degree.
  • A clear understanding of high level customer service and client management.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and Google Docs.
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently.
  • Able to work flexible hours during peak season (September – November).
  • Ideal candidate has sales experience/existing accounts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications.
  • Passion for the outdoors and action sports.

Summer Post Production Assistant / Editor (Internship)

DESCRIPTION

The Post Production team is looking for a few highly qualified interns to help us this summer with the various post production and editing related projects. Summer is an action packed time of year for us as we edit a feature length film and other assets in under 3 months. In addition to the feature film, we produce a handful of edits for release on DVD/Blu-ray and iTunes. Deadlines are tight, expectations are high, and we rely heavily on our interns to help support us through this process.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own and edit many of the DVD/Blu-ray extras for this year's film.
  • Edit additional web related content from the 2012/2013 filming seasons.
  • Work on sponsor related footage transfers.
  • Help support team light and shoot athlete interviews.
  • Work on motion graphics intros and titles.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Can tell stories and create emotion through editing.
  • Very strong understanding of Adobe Premiere.
  • Proficient with other Adobe Creative Suite Applications a must.
  • Self starter, highly driven, and a creative thinker.
  • Clear and effective written communicator.
  • Ability to take creative direction effectively.
  • Understanding of typography and good design aesthetics.
  • Ability to create Motion Graphics assets a big plus.
  • A good understanding of the action sports culture (especially skiing) is a must.
  • Loves new challenges and solving complex problems.
  • Willingness to learn new software applications and teach others.
  • Discipline to follow a project from start to finish.

TIME REQUIREMENTS:

  • Hours: 30 per week minimum (Flexible depending on employment situation)
  • Housing: Not provided
  • Duration: June - September. Later start or early departure dates possible depending on school schedule.
