VIDEO: Jamie O’Brien Surfs a Top-Secret Mainland River Wave

Standing waves may not have the size of a Jaws set or the perfect barrel of a good day at Pipeline, but there's something about standing still in the middle of a river that gets even the most jaded surfers excited. As a case in point, Jamie O'Brien recently made the journey from Hawaii to the mainland, hopped in an RV, and drove inland in search of a "TOP SECRET" river wave located somewhere in California.

Despite being accustomed to catching waves in what is arguably the world's best surfing location, the novelty of river surfing was enough to get Jamie "PSYCHING 24/7." And while river surfing isn't necessarily his forte, Jamie put on a show more than sufficient to prove why he gets paid to surf.
