When big mountain skiers and snowboarders Jeremie Heitz, Nico Vuignier, Sam Anthamatten, Laurent DeMartin, Florian Bruchez, and Mathieu Schaer get together, you know it’s going to be wild. What we didn’t expect, however, was filmmaker and skier Nico Vuignier’s take on the matter. Imagine this: turn out all the lights, light up the sky with a huge fireball, and then shred hairy big mountain lines like there’s no tomorrow.

That’s exactly what Vuignier did for his latest edit Heatseeker, which might be one of the strangest ski edits we’ve seen, and that’s taking into account stuff like Sweetgrass Production’s Valhalla or Afterglow night segments, some of Vuignier’s older night segments, or Sage’s segment from TGR’s Almost Ablaze. We're stoked to learn more about how this bizarrely beautiful film was made.
