Michelle Parker’s Originate video series has been going beyond beautiful skiing in exotic locales for a long time. Each episode provides a glimpse into Parker’s personality, passion for the mountains, and lifestyle as a professional skier.
In the first half of the latest episode of Originate, Parker forms a dream team with legendary Jackson snowboarder Mark Carter and photographer Aaron Blatt to take on the Jackson Hole Exposed photo competition. Although the episode doesn’t go into the details, Blatt had three days to shoot Parker and Carter around Jackson and then one day to edit the photos into a five minute slideshow. What the episode does clearly show are some of the best photos. Damn they are beautiful! No wonder they took home first place. While the pictures have since ended up on Instagram, they are also so much more and one of the great aspects of the episode is that you actually get a glimpse into the hard work that goes into creating a Kodak Moment.
For the second half of the episode, Parker joins Jackson local Alex Yoder and POW athlete Nick Russell to explore more of the area. While she had never spent much time in Jackson Hole before, Parker leaves with the desire to come back and check out more of “the lifetime of lines” in the Tetons.
