The fact is simple: without the tireless work and dedication of these highly-trained professional mountain climbers and their families, the Himalayan climbing industry would cease to exist.

Among this unique group of people, Apa Sherpa may be the one to break that mold. As perhaps the most legendary Everest climber to ever live, he worked on the mountain for over 20 years.

Having summitted Everest 21 times, he now turns his attention to making a better life for his people through the Apa Sherpa Foundation. His goal? Education.
