Julian Molina’s X-Games Real BMX part is NUTS

Probably my favorite part of the X-Games is the Real video contests. Sure, watching athletes throw down under the lights is one thing, and will lead to all kinds of progression but giving them a chance to show off for the camera really brings out the style and nuance of their sports. This summer’s Real BMX contest was no different, but one edit truly caught my attention – that of Colombian rider Julian Molina.

When he was just seven years old, Molina lost his left leg following a vehicle accident. Already a talented skateboarder, riding BMX turned into his newest passion after his surgery. With only one leg, Molina wears through shoes much faster than most riders, but luckily his father is a cobbler by trade and helps to support his son’s career. Molina’s 2020 Real BMX part was filmed over the course of a week in Colombia, and truly showcases his super-technical style. We’re stoked to see more from you Julian!
