Vermont Grass Skiers Score Thigh-Deep Turns in July

Most East-Coasters looking to rip some mid-summer ski turns have to make a pilgrimage, either to the West or to the Southern Hemisphere. However, if you're willing to compromise on the definition of "ski turns," there's another option: Grass skis. Rarely taken seriously, probably because anyone who could conceivably make them look good has either made the aforementioned pilgrimage or is busy mountain biking, grass skis actually look pretty cool in this video from Ski The East.

Vermont is home to the East Coast's best inbounds skiing, so it's no surprise that Ski The East chose some VT slopes for their summer shred sesh. We're not sure whether grass-skiing through thigh-deep underbrush is at all similar to snow-skiing through thigh-deep powder, but at the very least it makes for a visually-striking video.
