Skier Dies in Avalanche Near Tuckerman’s Ravine

The Mt. Washington Avalanche Center is reporting that a solo skier passed away in the Raymond's Cataract area after triggering a windslab above a terrain trap. He was buried roughly a meter deep for 90 minutes to two hours before being found. While he was apparently breathing after being dug out, he entered cardiac arrest while waiting to be evacuated and passed away shortly thereafter.
