a part of me feels missing now.
I ended up cracking the roof joist in the process but I have been reinforcing them anyway. So biggie.
I’m very happy for you

Is MTT the last remaining buffalo?
So 8 days of TGR thread reports and it is finally out. Now for the new one to be put into place and back connected and providing heat. Is that going to be the same thread or a new thread starting?
As of today my furnace is not running ]but I’m so close. Hooking up power and a new fancy thermostat that I might control with home automation
But my gas dryer is working using the new gas line I split off the original furnace line
Look I didn’t blow the place up. It was easy. YouTube

At this rate this furnace will be installed and working just in time for the 80 degree days of summer...
Did you check for gas leaks?
Recently hooked up natural gas in my house. Ran it to the furnace and to the oven and an extension for a natural gas insert and eventually the pool heater. Everything passed the soapy water test, but we had a mystery, very very faint and occasional, gas smell that we couldn’t quite pinpoint, so ordered a gas leak detector. Found the pesky little leak no problem, and then went back and checked everything else and found a couple more that still did not show up with soapy water.
Anyways, moral of the story is spend the couple bucks on a detector.
This is why we don't want rednecks using gas stoves anymore..
furnace is still not done i did check for leaks but i'm going to buy a couple of those leak/gas detectors i also still need to ground the new lines lightning season is far off but needs to be done
i'm done for today my shoulder is raging
It just doesn’t quite fit! I’m going to have to pull it out and peel up the tray.
Tomorrow maybe? My shoulder is fried. I had to do it myself
Everything else is pretty much ready

are you new to TGR?
How can you ride a Buffalo with a bum shoulder?
In Asia, they use buffalo dung patties for cooking heating. Who needs a furnace when you’re riding a Buffalo?
If you want to put an addition on that double wide, you can also use buff patties for wall construction
I’m picking away. I have this little thing. I don’t want to blow heat under the trailer. I’m going to use metal tape to seal that up. It that or move a couple of interior walls out 3 inches?
Anyone got a better idea? I wonder how much the pro’s would charge to deal with this? I think they would just hope nobody noticed

Probably if it is under the trailer and will have no heat, you will want to insulate that in some way and not just put a piece of metal to cover it. But the question really needs to be asked, where does that lead to just the area under the trailer or did it have a function with the old furnace.
You need a piece of sheet metal, some caulk and sheet metal screws. Cut and bend it to block off that area outside of the duct. Tape it up after it is sealed. If you just tape it the tape will fail and or rodents will chew through and live in your supply ductwork.
