Montana Man Walks 20 Miles for September Pow Turns

David Steele is a skier out of Whitefish, Montana, who regularly frequents Glacier National Park for self-prescribed sufferfests.

In his most recent vid, he goes skiing, on September 9, in a whiteout. He  managed turns on three inches of freshies on top of a melt/freeze crust of graupel on top of old snow patches...

"I walked nearly 20 miles round trip and went up 5,000 feet before I put my ski boots on. Definitely some desperation. But worthwhile," Steele told me.

We commend you, Mr. Steele! Looks pretty variable out there.
