Bariloche Argentina’s Cerro Catedral Reports 4 Feet in Past 24 hours

Last weekend the Central Andes were slammed with 4-9 feet of snow.  Now it is Patagonia's turn to boast.

The city of Bariloche, Cerro Catedral and surrounding ski areas Cerro Bayo and Baguales are seeing quite the strong pulse of snow right now.  In the past 24 hours, Catedral is reporting 120 cm (4 feet) of snow at the top and 2 feet in the resorts village.  It continues to snow this afternoon and another foot is expected.

The resort was closed today due to electricity issues due to the heavy snow.  Avalanche danger on the mountain remains high.
