Did You See Meru? If you Didn’t, This is Why You Should

Meru-the 2015 brain child of Nat Geo photog/TNF athlete, Jimmy Chin, and award winning filmmaker, Chai Vasarhelyi-transcends the expected action sports fan base and tackles the mainstream US audience unlike any other doc before it.

The film brings you along with Jimmy and his climbing partners, Conrad Anker and Renan Ozturk, up a never before summited and relentlessly unforgiving peak deep in the Himalaya, as if you too had been climbing your entire life and your whole career depended on this summit. This is the first time an in veritae action sports documentary has gained the attention of the general public...and for good reason.

Whether or not you're a climber, a skier, a mountaineer, or even just a movie goer with absolutely zero connection to the outdoors, having access to the experiences in Meru is an incredible next step for action sports cinematography. Bringing the mountains to the mainstream is just one way to share what we love and care about with the rest of the world.
