Just returned from Stowe. Snow was very deep in some places, like hip deep, other places there was grass sticking through the snow. Excellent skiing though, definately had several turns with snow over the shoulder. A few pics to come.

    Bucket:

Nice work on pushing 50 days this season - I think I recall your days being much lower last season... Injury perhaps? Hoping Friday will be day 43ish for me.... Not that I count

Thursday still looking like a long shot but Boston John and I chuting for a Thursday night departure to hot lap leftovers on Friday. Hope a few of you Thursday crusaders stick around for some Friday turns/beers.

    hey doremite,
thanks, though actually the 49 days was last year.
this season i listed april only as my season didn't really start in earnest til mid march, as i was staying home with a pet in hospice care
he's passed, but i'm glad i took the time off, as most of that time he was doing really well.

i'm at 32 days this season (and yes i was on the shelf for a good portion of the season before last, but made it to 36 thanks to a late season return to strength.), hoping for a handful more.

don't know if i'll make it to jay friday, but am hoping to get as far north as s'bush...have fun out there ...and thursday skiers, try to leave some for mr dore...though i trust he'll know where to find it in any case.

What are the prospects for Tucks in the next two weeks? Will this avy danger subside before the recent snowpack is gone? I'm afraid I've missed the window to ski it.

Glad to hear you're consistently logging days. Nice work... Weird, I know, but I'm not overly concerned about untracked Friday... although if the snow is right I wil find it ... will just be happy to hot lap something lift served

Not. Even. Close. Plenty o' snow up high and expect avy danger to be ok by Saturday - don't quote me on that - read the avy reports but I'm angling to ski up there Saturday if I can work some logistics (read ride) and weather holds. Skied Gulf of Slides last Saturday and snow levels were crazy low but other areas of the mountain have waaaaay more snow and should be skiing amazing for the next month +. Get out there and be safe.

SUBIE IS FIXED! WOOT WOOT! Rob, I'll be up at some point tonight but I'm not sure when- I'll text you when my ETA becomes more clear. Based on the pow's sexiness, I'm going to bring the BG's and the Mojos... Once it gets schrapled I want to be able to switch over if need be...

OK that makes sense, the write up said the 28th i thought, so I just figured it was from Greg this morning.... Oh well...I ended up just going to Smuggs closer to home anyway and I was running late..

Got to the top of M1 a little after noon.... Came down Madonna liftline which was sick... The stuff lower down was pretty slow, you have to stay in the steep areas, the coverage was good... The visibility sucked though, so was not a good day for pics or vids.. I tried to take a couple shots, but gave up pretty quick...

I am hoping to get up there Saturday if the snow is safe. I am keeping my fingers crossed. I haven't been up there since mid march...

"yawn, could be just like last week up high. where it's snow on snow, not snow on dirt:"

Rog, be careful, its a rough landing from such a high horse.

Clearing skies, storm is done. trading in skis for saw and bar oil. Wild day out there, of course not new hampshire crazy, but pretty cool for 4/28 here in the little hills.

Stateside was sick today, that is what I had been trying to find all winter. Get up high and have a blast. I think on a board at least you could get careful turns on baseless runs as well, the snow is so deep. Faceshots are pretty cool.

What a crazy day....... I changed my plan a hundred times, and then just ended up going to Smuggs... The snow was deep and heavy, slow on the low angle stuff.. Like i said earlier the visibility sucked so it was not a good day for pics or video.. I tried to take some and then just put the camera away and did some riding....Now i want some more....

The conditions that drag them over sharp rocks... I'm just bringing the rock skis "in case" but judging from the pics, I won't be needing them.

In unrelated news, anybody looking for a welder/shop manager/porn star? I may be looking for work very soon...

damn! now that i've seen some pics of ALL THAT SNOW i may have to head up to jay after all...more driving, but driving's easier than skinning...and lots of laps will better nourish the soul for the long drive home.
