Xavier De Le Rue Goes Couloir Hunting In The Canadian Backcountry
Popular Stories
Most backcountry approaches usually consist of a long skin, or maybe the help of some snowmobiles, but Xavier De Le Rue, and his wife Beanie opted for sled dogs to help them trek 14 kilometers to a suitable campsite for their latest mission. After getting camp set up and a frigid night's sleep, the French backcountry power couple set headed up Mt. Begbie, just outside of Revelstoke in the Canadian Rockies. The mission proved to be successful, as Le Rue conquered an extremely tight, absolute pinner of a couloir.
