No one was injured in the slide, but the Utah Department of Transportation Avalanche team did close any backcountry skiing access in the area as well as the entire North side of Little Cottonwood Canyon. The river of snow, although beautiful, retains its splendor only because no one was caught. Stay safe in the backcountry; we aren't quite in true spring skiing conditions yet.
