What Keeps Daron Rahlves Ticking After All These Years?

After a decorated career as a World Cup downhill ski racer, Daron Rahlves kept the pedal to the metal as he transitioned to big mountain skiing. Rahlves is only the second American to ever win the legendary Hahnenkamm downhill race, and those skills and nerves of steel lent themselves to successful career in big mountains all over the world. He now calls Lake Tahoe, California home and continues to push the limits of his skiing. The Ski Journal joined Rahlves for a few days of ripping around Sugar Bowl ski resort and learned what makes him tick – even after all these years.
