Weather Update: Winter is Coming to the Sierra, Tetons

Cold air and atmospheric moisture are combining to produce snow in high altitude regions of the country. The Sierra has seen a small amount of snow, as have the Tetons. We’re still months away from hopping on the tram, but it’s nice to see Mother Nature reminding us that winter is on its way.

Squaw Valley had a doozy of a season last year, and we’re hoping for a repeat this year. There’s only a little bit more precipitation in their forecast for the next week or so, but we’ve got almost two months till their projected opening day, there should be plenty of time for snow to accumulate.
