Watch: This Russian MTBer Has Some Serious Moves

In a world of never-ending epic singletrack videos, Ivan Popov’s rowdy skate-inspired freestyle edit is a refreshing sight to see.

Popov is a young up-and-coming Russian freestyle mountain biker who traveled to the now-famous city of Sochi and took advantage of the massive infrastructure boom that occurred after the 2014 Olympics. The city, and the nearby Rosa Khutor resort (the collective area is now affectionately called Sochifornia) is home to plenty of dirt jumps, skateparks, and sick urban features for Popov to hone his skills on. See: the fakie to frontflip at 4:22 or the footplant frontflip at 5:45.
