Hey, I didn’t come up with those, just repeating every single chairlift conversation I’ve ever heard whenever a telemarker passes below the lift. That could soon become the latest winter Olympic sport, after FIS announced pushing to include telemark parallel sprinting into the 2022 Beijing Winter Games. Well, if you’ve never even heard of the sport, neither have we, but it seems to be a big enough deal in certain circles to warrant inclusion.

Take a look at the somewhat bizarre combination of skiercross, cross country skiing, and slalom racing. The course starts with a downhill section, followed by a short uphill sprint and a mad sprint on flat to the finish line. It certainly does not look easy, so props to whoever is doing this, it actually does look pretty cool. We know you’re out there somewhere.
