When a Big Wave Rescue Goes Wrong…

Big wave surfer Pedro “Scooby” Vianna had a super close call while riding a monster wave at Nazaré a few weeks ago. As he dropped into the wave and starts to get speed, he is taken out by the wall of water above him. He hits the water hard, a spotter rushes towards him on a jetski, and the two narrowly escape the following wave — only to get bucked when they hit a rough patch. What started off as an epic ride just turns into what looks like an all-around bad time.
