VIDEO: Nic Von Rupp Charges The Portuguese Coast

Ericeira, Portugal is home to the first European World Surfing Reserve – and for good reason. With upwards of 20 breaks at the spot, it’s one of Nic Von Rupp’s favorite places in the world to surf. In his eyes, it even beats places like Tahiti and Hawaii for wave quality. Von Rupp teams up with Portuguese World Tour rider Frederico “Kikas” Morais and a bunch of other European surfing aces to tackle some pointbreak bombs during a perfect session at Coxos, scoring barrel after barrel.

Nice moves. This was amazing. one of the best.

Nathan Florence Struggles to Paddle Out at Uluwatu

Surfing isn’t always the graceful and glamourous activity it is often made out to be. Lulls between sets can be long, crowds can be hard to manage and paddle outs can be downright treacherous. Take this video for example. Nathan Florence is one of the best free surfers out there, and he still struggles for almost twenty minutes to get outside of the whitewash on this big day at Uluwatu. Koa Rothman Surfs Code Red Malibu – Kook Central!

Over the weekend, the code red hurricane swell that has been ripping through the Pacific hit the California coast. Although the waves were insane, Koa was still surfing Bu, and the crowd was as textbook Malibu as ever. By the end of each of his sessions on a two-day stint of all-day surfs, Koa and his buddy Ian were on clean-up crew and

Beefs T.V. Play-by-play at another monster day on Maui

If you didn’t already know, Maui was hit with the biggest swell it has seen in more than twenty years over the last few weeks, and Beefs T.V. was there to cover it! Lucky us. Surfers and body boarders packed the lineup at the aptly named Freight Trains break in Ma’alaea, all hoping to get pitted in this once in a lifetime (twice if you’re lucky) swell. The pro crowd showed up heavy for this session, too. Mike Ho, Billy Kemper and Kai Lenny were just a few of the well-known surfers in the
