Kai Lenny might be best known as a big wave charger, but the truth is that he's an all-around waterman. Sure, he's a constant contender at the WSL Big Wave Awards, but his flatwater achievements are no less impressive than his escapades on not-so-flat water.
Hawaii is home to several of the world's most prestigious paddling races, including the Maui2Molokai SUP Race, the Molokai 2 Oahu Paddleboard Championship, and the Na Pali Race. Growing up on Maui, there's a good chance Lenny heard a lot about these races, which may have inspired him to enter all three in the summer of 2018. Not content with merely winning all three races, he managed to set the three course records as well.
