Video: A Haunting Short to Stoke The Winter Surf Mood

There are many different escapes from the constant distractions of technology, the “realities of our own invention,” as filmmaker Andrew Kaineder puts it, but for these two surfers, refuge naturally comes out in the waves. The trailer for his new film Beyond the Noise explores their adventures out in the frigid waters, and how it unchains them and leads them dangerously close to freedom. It’s haunting, to say the least.
