The Canary Islands are a sort of Hawaii for Europeans: a small archipelago a few hours plane ride away with lush beaches, mountains, and some world-class surfing.
Lanzarote, the easternmost island, treated these Spanish surfers to some perfect waves last fall. Marco Imbernon, Manuel Lezcano and Jonathan González made mincemeat of this slab wave, getting some barrel time and making dreamy slashes on its lip.
