This Apocalyptic Surf Edit Will Give You Chills

These are strange times, especially for a place like Santa Cruz, California. The iconic boardwalk has become an eerie ghost town. Abandoned rides sadly sway in the breeze. Beaches normally flooded with tourists are desolate, and waves crash in the break with no surfers to ride them. How do we make sense of this new world? Some like filmmaker Kyle Buthman wonder if it’s time to adapt. In his newest short film, Buthman embraces the fear and uncertainty of this crisis. The end result is a chilling surf edit that feels on par with The Walking Dead. It’s a good thing zombies can’t swim...or can they?
