Take Shelter–New Surf Film ‘Attractive Distractions’ Cuts Clean

Attractive Distractions is a new surf film on tap, and on sale on iTunes currently, from Take Shelter Productions–headed up by Albee Layer & Dan Norkunas. Beyond the obvious–crisp images, beautiful peeling barrels, and a bevy of talent coming from names like Clay Marzo, John John Florence, and Albee Layer himself–you'll also be interested to know that Norkunas is actually a skier. Blasphemy!! But indeed, Dan Norkunas cut his teeth behind the lens with the now-defunct Rage Films, where even many current TGR film athletes, from Sammy Carlson to Tim Durtschi, cut their teeth. After a bit of a stint chasing skiers with a camera, Dan sought out sunnier climes and relocated his whole career to Hawaii, where he's been chipping away at surf films ever since. Looks like it all worked out...
