Surfing Morocco’s Hidden Jewel Means Tube Rides for Mikey February & Co.

This gigantic North Atlantic bomb swell began life on the other side of the world, unloading on the Outer Banks, the 200-mile stretch of islands that skirt along the North Carolina coastline. As it moved across the Atlantic, this storm set up a long-period swell, straight into the coast of western Europe and northern Africa. Some spots handled the accompanying wind well, others were blown out and nasty but beyond XXL. As this moved into Morocco, conditions settled, the wind swung and the swell hammered – it was on for the best swell of the season so far.
