Surfing in Alaska Never Looked Better in ‘Arc of Aleutia’

Alaska’s Aleutian Islands don’t classify as your typical surf getaway. You can’t just hop on a plane and arrive at the beach. Most trips require a bush plane ride, then a boat ride, which is then followed by a hike.

But if you’re willing to put up with the absurd travel logistics, you’ll find a corner of the ocean that’s mostly untouched, uninhabited, and flanked by breathtaking scenery. For surfers Harrison Roach, Parker Coffin, and Nate Zoller those elements were too tempting to ignore, and they headed North for a proper adventure. Their new film Arc of Aleutia explores their time spent surfing one of the wildest surf destinations in the world. And with Ben Weiland and Chris Burkard behind the lens on this project, it's sure to be a good one.
