Andy Irons: Kissed by God explores the challenge of living with bipolar disorder and opioid addiction through the life of world-class surfer Andy Irons. These two issues are a daily struggle for many, and the film seeks to shed light on these internal battles and destigmatize them.

For Olympic gold medalist Nick Goepper, the film was a way to see how even amidst fame and great athleticism, it is still possible to battle invisible demons:

"Having had my own share of low lows, I'm really interested to see how it relates to Andy's career and his story," says Goepper. "I think it's really important to be open about things you're struggling with if you feel comfortable with it, especially in a place of influence, such as an athlete or entertainer."
