Gerry Lopez is an icon in the world of surfing, so it's only fitting that Kelly Slater invited him out to test the first left of his artificial wave company. You might think that Lopez would be a purist when it comes to surfing, but he has embraced all forms of surfing including river and snowboarding. He realizes that this artificial break might be the perfect future for the sport he loves.
