Big Wave Surfers Shred Pumping Waimea Bay

Waimea has been pumping on and off for about the past week and the internet is full of clips of the world's premier big wave spot doing it's thing. A ton of notable pro's have made the brave paddle out this month including Eddie invitees: Kelly Slater, John Florence, Jaimie O'brien, and Aikau alternate pick Mason Ho. Although the waves have been massive and Waimea has gotten more than a few swells during the official waiting period, Quicksilver has come out and said that none of them were consistently big enough to run the legendary Quicksilver In Memory of Eddie Aikau Big-Wave Invitational, which is arguably the most prestigious contest in all of surfing.
