Another Day, Another Roaring Nazare Edit

The winter big wave season this year has been a mixed bag, but no break has fired as consistently as Nazare.

The break known as "Big Mama" has been roaring all season, and madmen like Sebastian Steudtner and Ross Clarke-Jones have been reveling in the mayhem of the Portuguese powerhouse, catching hellish bombs and throwing down sessions for the ages. In mid-January, Big Mama recorded one of her heaviest days on record, and this past week, she again came to life.

While it might not have been as big as that fateful January day, the past week proved to be just as dangerous, as Clarke-Jones found himself being thrown into the rocky outcroppings surrounding the break by the surging ocean, fighting desperately just to scramble back up the hills adjacent to Nazare in one piece.

This is one of the best articles I have come across. Keep up the good work. iOS 12 Update

Of course, some locals felt the need to brave the elements in their own way, like this kite surfer in Nags Head, North Carolina.

Prepared to Have Your Mind Blown with John John Florence’s Edit

John John Florence sure knows how to create a stir—even while he’s recovering from a knee injury. Since we’ve missed his presence on the tour, his latest edit will help fill the void until he’s back. The edit, both cinematic and breathtaking, showcases Florence’s incredible prowess on a board—I’m still replaying his aerials. We can’t wait to see you back at it John John.
