The lifeguards and water safety team at Waimea Bay are some of the most elite watermen in the entire world. The safety services that they provide ensure that big waves events like yesterday continue on the legacy of Eddie Aikau.

During a closeout set yesterday, five of these safety support skis had to literally run for their life and beach themselves on purpose. The sight is both funny and terrifying as these walls of water come crashing down on them.
