Travis Rice Explains how he Survived a Massive Avalanche

Just after Travis Rice dropped into his line in Valdez, Alaska, he was swept into the gut of a massive avalanche. The iconic snowboarder took one of his biggest tumbles of his life, and luckily, only suffered a couple displaced ribs.

Proper decision making and knowledge of the terrain is important, and even Travis says he could have taken different measures to avoid triggering the potentially deadly avalanche. Travis says, "the most important thing at the end of the day is coming out of the field with everyone safely."
