Sierra Surfers Crush Wide-Open Bowls

Warp Wave's Sierra Surf Chronicles is a friendly reminder that, even in the driest winters, there will still be one or two high-five-filled powder days. The California-based crew endured a gnarly winter with the kind of remarkable optimism you can only find in the Golden State.

In their second episode, Warp Wave riders head into the Sierra backcountry (undisclosed location) for untouched powder turns. It's enlightening to see how much fun a crew can have on a long-awaited powder day, and even more enlightening to see how fresh snow in Sierra Nevada can create envy-inducing conditions.

If you're missing what winter used to look like in California, take four minutes and watch this.
