Pillows, Cliffs Drops, and Big Airs: Claudia Avon Goes Deep in the Whistler Backcountry

Montreal native Claudia Avon went west to Whistler seven seasons ago to pursue powder. Like a lot of former freestyle riders, she transitioned from sending it in the park to sending off cliffs and backcountry booters. 

Now a member of the Jones Snowboards Freeride Collective, Avon charges the British Columbia backcountry for her short film, "In the Moment." She also opens up about why she chose to work to snowboard instead of choosing a desk job and weekend warrior program.
