Klaudia Medlova Throws First-Ever Women’s Double Backside Rodeo

During this year's Suzuki Nine Queens event in Austria, the Monster Showdown featured a head-to-head competition between Olympic gold medalist Jamie Anderson and 21-year-old Slovakian Klaudia Medlova. (It should be noted that neither of these ladies actually won Nine Queens because the big air victory went to Norwegian Kjersti Ostgaard-Buaas). During the showdown, Medlova became the first woman to throw a double backside rodeo 900 mute. 

Firsts are important for snowboard contests, the athletes and sponsors involved, and especially the next generation who are watching the bar being set with bated breath.
