Going Big On One of The Tetons’ Most Obscure Peaks

Grand Teton National Park's Mount Wister is a peak you don't hear a lot about in a range of peaks you hear quite a lot about. Hidden in the central part of the range way up Avalanche Canyon, it requires a big approach and commitment to get to, and even more to ride. But a small crew from a local Jackson Hole crew that made the balls-out indie snow film Land of 1000 Dreams (including TGR's own Logging Manager, Ryan Halverson), managed to bag the peak, along with some recycled powder, in calm winds and stable avalanche conditions.
