It’s going to be a weird winter this year. With resorts limiting the number of passes and day tickets, there’s going to be an influx of people heading to the backcountry. With so many people hoping to score fresh turns, it’s more important than ever for our community to address avalanche risks and safe backcountry travel. Thankfully, there are a plethora of online safety resources, and Volcom just released a super insightful chat with mountain legends Elena Hight, Bryan Iguchi, Pat Moore, and Jeff Pensiero from Baldface Lodge. Grab a notebook and be prepared to take some notes from these riders who share their sage wisdom from many years spent safely navigating the backcountry.

And if you're craving more snowboard content, be sure to check out Elena Hight's latest film Blank Canvas exclusively streaming now on Teton Gravity Research TV.  To watch it all you need to do is subscribe to TGR premium, which not only get you access to Blank Canvas but TGR's ENTIRE vault of films. The Spotheads Boys Throw Down in Latest Film

We’ve found the thing you didn’t know you were looking for: twenty whole minutes of good old fashioned urban snowboarding. The boys at Spotheads have provided us with the goods and boy, do they provide. Top notch street riding mixed in with a healthy dose of carnage all cooked together with friendship make this film everything a snowboard film should be. Big kudos to these boys for throwing down and holding nothing back for our entertainment even if it meant a couple face-to-concrete impacts
