Check Your Pins Crew Journeys to Quebec’s Gaspe Peninsula

The most prolific splitboard crew on the East Coast, Check Your Pins heads north from their home state of Vermont to Quebec’s Gaspe Peninsula. We featured the peninsula's Chic Choc range in our top-five list of early season splitboard destinations because it received more three feet in November. This region also contains some of the East's best backcountry snowboarding.

Collaborating with Vertigo Adventures' guides, these East Coasters basecamped in a yurt more than 20 miles in the heart of Matane Faunal Reserve. What they discovered was deep, untouched tree lines.
