With every snow day that passes, we reach closer to the next Kings and Queens, and you know what that means: another day chalked full of gnarly, ill-advised sends off the flagship feature of JHMR, Corbet’s Couloir. On comp day, only one thing is certain, if you are committed to doing this event, you are gnarly. The mental strain it takes to prepare for a run on this course might send most running for their mommies, but that’s all part of the appeal for these maniacs. The payoff of making it to the bottom with all your gear and body parts makes it all every bit worth it. The participants of Kings and Queens face questions like “how much air is too much?” and “will I make it to the bottom?” while all us normies have to worry about is “will Veronica stomp the double this year?” and “who will emerge victorious?” Well, we’ll just have to find out wont we. Here’s to another year of Kings and Queens of Corbet’s!
