X Games Real Ski 2020 Results Announced

After Real Ski 2019, in which Jake Mageau was named Fan Favorite with a commanding 37.4% of the vote, yet didn't podium, some were outraged. "Jake got robbed" was the word on hundreds of fingertips. Luckily, the competition's rules allow both the winning athlete and fan-favored athlete to compete in the following year's event, and Jake and his filmer Oliver Hoblitzelle took full advantage of their opportunity. Congratulations to them both on a well-deserved victory.

French Canada and urban skiing go way back, and Émile Bergeron continued the noble Québécois tradition of hitting some of the biggest and gnarliest features seen in the entire competition. For his efforts, a silver medal.

It wouldn't be a Real Ski competition without a little bit of controversy, and this year is no exception. Alex Hackel and Pär Hägglund put together a doozy of an edit, winning the Fan Favorite vote with a not-inconsiderable 24%. They also won bronze, which is more than most can say, but something tells me Hackel will be back next year with his eye on gold.
