Watch: This Might Be A New Olympic Sport

Drop knees, not bombs. Free your heel, free your mind. Half a binding, half a brain.

Hey, I didn’t come up with those, just repeating every single chairlift conversation I’ve ever heard whenever a telemarker passes below the lift. That could soon become the latest winter Olympic sport, after FIS announced pushing to include telemark parallel sprinting into the 2022 Beijing Winter Games. Well, if you’ve never even heard of the sport, neither have we, but it seems to be a big enough deal in certain circles to warrant inclusion.

Take a look at the somewhat bizarre combination of skiercross, cross country skiing, and slalom racing. The course starts with a downhill section, followed by a short uphill sprint and a mad sprint on flat to the finish line. It certainly does not look easy, so props to whoever is doing this, it actually does look pretty cool. We know you’re out there somewhere.

I like this sport but no training conditions. http://wingsio0.com

Cowboy: Clayton Vila’s Crested Butte Director’s Cut

For director Clayton Vila, the relationship with Teton Gravity Research has always been a collaborative experience. Unique within action sports filmmaking, Clayton often creates two different cuts from the same TGR segment. One seamlessly aligns with TGR’s snow film, and in his director’s cut, Vila has complete artistic freedom. In fact, before he even stepped behind the lens for Crested Butte segment, Vila was given considerable creative control. The prompt was pretty open-ended with
