VIDEO: Sam Smoothy Reflects on his Gnarliest Fall

Back in winter 2019, Sam Smoothy hopped on a plane to Austria to film a segment for TGR's Winterland. Joined by fellow professional skiers Fabian Lentsch and Griffin Post, as well as a TGR film crew, Smoothy headed into the alpine in search of the sketchy lines which had become his bread and butter.

Unfortunately, Smoothy's willingness to push the limits nearly led to tragedy, as a particularly rowdy line bucked him in a bad spot.  After a terrifying crash and six weeks of physical therapy, Smoothy was back in action, but with a new attitude towards risk. Listen to his thoughts on the accident and what he's taken away from it in this newest entry to The North Face's PERSPECTIVES series.
